How To Make 301 Stainless Steel Foils?

  • 1. Raw Materials Preparation

    A mother coil made of 301 stainless steel is made from raw materials purchased from well-known manufacturers such as POSCO, every batch of real goods is guaranteed to be genuine. Each batch of goods must be accompanied by a quality certificate issued by the origin manufacturer. Besides ensuring that the raw materials sent to the factory are in good condition, our company will also inspect the raw materials before they are sent to the factory and select raw materials for sampling and spectral analysis. In addition to spectral testing, we can check the manufacturer’s quality certificate to determine whether the materials are correct. The details that need to be checked include the thickness tolerances of the products, the widths of the coils, the outside packaging, the labels, the surface finish on the inside, and chemical components. Make a comparison with the manufacturer’s certificate and confirm that there is a match between the raw materials and the manufacturers’ certificates.     2. Cold Rolling

    The cold rolling mill is used to achieve the desired thickness of the steel strip foil during the precision thin 301 stainless steel foil manufacturing process. It is another step in the manufacturing process. The machine can also provide a good surface finish, flatness, and variation of thickness that meets international standards. One of the most important things we must mention is the twenty-high-height rolling mill equipment.     4. Degreasing

    As a result of the rolling process, stains were left on the thin 301 stainless steel foils that required cleaning since the oil was left behind. To remove grease from the steel foils, a chemical reaction between an alkaline agent and grease is performed, causing the grease to be removed. When rinsed, the hot alkaline solution is used to clean them off. The speed of the whole cleaning line is 60 meters per minute, which means that 301 stainless steel foils of a thickness of 0.02mm to a thickness of 1.0mm to 1.5mm can be cleaned.

    5. Tension Straightening Process

    This thin, 301 stainless steel foil rolled on a twenty-high rolling mill with a thickness of 0.02mm-0.8mm will be a hard-to-deform metal strip. As a result, it is the only method capable of eliminating the stress on steel stainless foil when all softening has been completed, and the tension leveling is large. Stretch bending straightening is the only method to eliminate stress under these conditions. With a skin pass mill, tension leveling can be achieved using a technique that improves mechanical properties and the steel foil’s brightness. As a result, it is possible to guarantee that the final foil product will have the desired characteristics. After straightening the foil, the stress distribution will be more uniform in the stainless steel foil and have a straight shape.     6. Slitting Process
